Elisabeth Tops Podium On Home Turf
Hometown hero Elisabeth Gerritzen wrote her name in the history books of The Freeride World Tour this weekend, putting on a show of hard-charging, adrenaline-pumping skiing for the local crowd on the infamous Bec des Rosses.
Wearing bib 2, Elisabeth's run propelled her to the hot seat, where she stayed until the end of the competition and claimed an extra-special first victory on the tour. Champagne was popped and the loudest cheer of the weekend was heard when Elisabeth climbed the podium in Verbier Village Center - a day to remember!
Andrew Pollard: FWT Rookie of the Season
Andrew Pollard finished his first FWT season off in style, putting down a solid run on the Bec and clinching 4th place overall. Andrew's riding brought some extra freestyle flair to the tour this year, and two podium finishes in recent weeks meant he stood on top of the Bec as a dark horse podium contender. While the overall podium just escaped him this season, he deservedly swept up Rookie of the Season. Roll on next winter.
