The pinnacle in
free-touring.
Our tool for the true backcountry aficionados. With dual carbon layers, La Machine is ultra-light for efficient trekking capability. Pair this feather-weight character with a soft flex pattern and exaggerated rocker profile, and the result is dream float on the dream day, as well as effortless pivoting and smearing in mixed-bag conditions. Eco-conscious construction – including the bio-based resin, recycled materials and sustainable wood core – completes the package, because we know you care deeply about preserving wild spaces as much as you love playing in them.

The birth of
la machine
A couple of years ago we set out to create a super fat and lightweight ski to enable all types of skiers to discover the joy and freedom of skiing the deepest powder on Earth. That’s when the original La Machine was born. Its construction was inspired by heli-skiing guides with decades of collective experience with all types of deep snow and all sorts of skiers, and with their input we created the perfect powder ski for all levels of riders. The original La Machine was a revelation, so it was a no-brainer for us to create a whole new series based on its design and shape - thus the La Machine Series was born!

LA MACHINE

extended tip/ tail rocker
We employ Extended Rocker, a reverse camber shape in the tip and tails, which along with waist width, is the most important element in providing float in fresh snow. Extended rocker also makes pivoting and turn initiation easier and means you have less chance of catching an edge.
Full strength sidewall
A construction that places strips of protective material along the sides of each core, between the edge and the topsheet. Sidewalls provide the best possible edge hold and stability when the ski is engaged in a turn as well as protecting the wood core, edges and topsheet from impact and outside damage.
ELLIPTICAL SIDECUT
Elliptical Sidecut is made up of a longer radius underfoot and shorter radii in the tip and tail of the ski. The long radius underfoot means you can pivot faster and easier, while a shorter radius in the tip and tail result in easier turn initiation. This sidecut allows for a wide variety of turns lengths, angles and mounting positions (stay tuned for our mounting guide).
ANTI CHIP MICRO CAP
Micro-cap construction is a hybrid of a premium, sandwich sidewall construction fused with a lightweight, durable cap construction. With micro-cap, the sandwich construction provides awesome edge hold and torsional stability while the ski’s topsheet wraps around and meets the sidewall, protecting the fragile join that can be prone to chipping.
MUSTACHE FLEX
This flex works best for most skiers. Enjoy stability in front of, and behind the binding area to provide solid edge hold. Then, we transition to smooth, progressive flex in the tips and tails to easily absorb all the different bumps and snow debris on the mountain. This flex allows for an easier turn initiation and finish.
SUSTAINABLE WOOD CORE
Our poplar, beech and ash cores are sourced from the forests near our European factories, eliminating the carbon cost of transporting raw materials across great distances. Our raw materials are FSC accredited, meaning that the forests from which our wood is sourced are managed to support environmental and societal sustainability.
BIO BASED RESIN
This ski uses an environmentally-conscious, bio-based resin that has 35% of its molecular range derived from plant material. It has the same structural properties as resin derived solely from petrochemical products.
