Brynn grew up in Comox, Vancouver Island, skiing her home mountain, Mount Washington. Starting freestyle at age 12, she made weekend trips to Whistler. At 16, she moved permanently, joining Whistler's freestyle club. After one year on the Canadian Circuit, she qualified for Junior Worlds at 17, entering her first world cup season.
