Born and raised in the high peaks of Zermatt, Sam earned his mountain guide qualification at just 24 and has spent his life exploring the steepest mountains. He now travels to remote peaks worldwide, blending skiing, climbing, and paragliding in unique mountain adventures.
‘The Spirit of a Line’ features emblems and natural motifs of the Matterhorn's surrounding biome — Sam's home — across both the topsheet and the base.
Illustrations of the imaginary require a masterful hand. Enter Simon Charrière, fellow Swiss Faction freeskier and artist who focuses on the simple, yet powerful emotive experiences of the high alpine with his trademark linear artwork.

Anti-Chip Micro-Cap
The Anti-chip Micro Cap protects the ski's tips and tails from wear and tear. Where the ski's topsheet wraps around and meets the sidewall, this delicate area is shielded by the Micro Cap. This protects from chipping and additional sidewall damage, each day you set out on the mountain.
Mustache Flex
The 'Moustache Flex' pattern is ideal for most skiers. It offers stability in front of and behind the binding for solid edge hold, with a smooth, progressive flex in the tips and tails to absorb bumps and snow debris. Perfect for progression and easier turn initiation and finish.

As explained in our video guide above, choosing the right ski length depends on a mix of different factors. On a basic level, height, weight and ability should give you a good idea of what length of ski you should go for.
As a rule of thumb, start with a ski around nose to eyebrow level height.
If you are just starting out, or at an intermediate level, then we suggest that you take some length off. If you’re a more advanced/expert skier, then we suggest you should push your ski length towards your full height or even further. If you are heavier than the average weight for your size, feel free to add some ski length as well.
